Surfers for Autism 2011 Special Edition Limited Prints

This year based a little on popular demand and also me wanting to do something different, I came up with a SFA special edition print series.  As many of you know I cover all of the Surfers for Autism Events, giving them photo coverage and also new this year, Gopro as well.  Spicing it up, I threw in a Limited print series that will feature a print of mine representing each event that will be sold during the event at the raffle / merchandise tent.  The prints are matted, signed and packaged and sell for $30.  Surfers for Autism gets 50%.  With 4 events already in the books we have already nearly sold out at every event.  Get your print today and support SFA!  Here are the last 4 from Deerfield, Juno, Stuart, and Cocoa.

Night Lighting / wave lineup shot

Believe it or not, this was my first time ever attempting to shoot lighting.  One night I was driving back home and noticed a bunch of lighting towards the ocean.  I also knew that it was a full moon and that combo could have potential.  I got home gathered my Canon 5d Mark 2 16-35 2.8 II lens, Manfrotto tripod and my Canon intervalometer ( which you can set the camera to fire constantly.  I headed down to my favorite and closest beach in Boca Raton, Spanish River and went to work.  I shot for about an hour, messing with exposures, angles... you name it, I tried it.  Above is one of the better shots I got.  My first lighting shot and it ran as the closing image in Eastern Surfing Magazines School's Out for Summer article about a week after.  Score!

Bill Bone Classic Criterium Road Race

Current World Masters Time Trial Champ Grant Potter

In the blazing sun at the hottest point of the day I waited for the Pro 1 2 race to start in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.  Although I have raced mtn bikes since I was 14, I have never raced road.  Its one of the most dangerous disciplines in the sport of cycling.  Most of my training is on the road and wanted to attend this race to support some of my friends I ride and train with along with getting some stock imagery that have been asked of me in years past.  Here are a couple...
