Surfers for Autism on Surfline

Well this past week has been a busy one, shooting about 8,000 images in the past 6 days. Thats a lot of editing! Surfline just ran a full article on my non-profit organization that I provide the photography for. Stephanie and I headed up to Cocoa Beach last friday afternoon and shot all day on Saturday. Over 150 Autistic children showed up with their familes to surf. It was the forth event and the first annual for The Space Coast. Check out the article here.

Hurricanes holding off Georgia Tech....

Last night I covered the Miami Hurricanes first home game of the season for a new wire client that I will be working with in the future. They held the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets to only 95 yards! Here are a few shots from the game.

Past week

This past week one of my favorite camera bodies died and threw me off my schedule. We have been working on some new projects and also chased a little surf this weekend with the crew. Here are a few. Not really a shooting day, more of a fun beach day to mess around on some fun waves.

This past weekend I covered Dubfest in Hollywood, Florida. It was the first year of the event that featured music from Reel Big Fish, Bunny Wailer, Goldfinger, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Authority Zero, and more. I covered the show for metromix/sunsentinel. This week we finally were on our way down the east coast back home but got a last minute call from Surfline to cover the swell hitting the mid East coast and of course we jumped on it and started studying the forcasts. From Maryland racing down to the Outer Banks we were graced with its power early on Sunday August 23. Check it out here.

We are on Vacation!!

Well, as we head off on our much needed vacation I thank all of you for making the first half of 2009 a great one. We will be on the road shooting, visiting, adventuring, exploring and learning about the Maritime provinces of Canada and the northeast coast of the US.
